Transfamily is a peer support group for parents, partners, siblings, extended family and/or friends of a trans or gender diverse person.
We are a Melbourne-based group who meet regularly in various Melbourne locations. Transfamily is run by a volunteer committee who all have first-hand experience in supporting a trans and/or gender diverse family member. The core objective of the group is to meet people in person. We also have a regular Men's Support Group and can connect Partners with others who have trans or gender diverse partners or spouses.

Men’s Support Group is a sub group of Transfamily made up of ‘like minded men’ providing peer support for fathers and male allies.
This peer support group provides a safe environment for men to have discussions as they journey as a father, or other male loved one of a transgender family member.
The support happens on an informal basis and in a small group with other men, typically over a light meal or drink.
We meet in person each month. Please email your rsvp to be kept informed of guest speakers and advised of the meeting location.
